Dr Rathin Roy is a distinguished Fellow, Kautilya School of Public Policy, Hyderabad and a visiting Senior Fellow, ODI, London. He has previously worked as Director, National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, as an economic diplomat with the UNDP, with postings in New York, Kathmandu, Bangkok and Brasilia, as Economic Adviser with the Thirteenth Finance Commission, Government of India and as a member of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Economic Advisory Council. He holds a PhD and an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
