The founder of Shopclues and Droom has just come out with his autobiography, Fall Again, Rise Again, and going by the title, if one was hoping for answers to questions like what went wrong with ShopClues after its rather spectacular start in 2011, what was the reason for the very public and bitter fight for the company between Aggarwal and his wife in 2017, and what his defence was to the charge of insider trading slapped by the US Securities and Exchange Commission in 2013, one is in for a big disappointment. There is no doubt that crooks live a controversial existence, and often confuse their crookedness with some sort of self-righteous fight against the big, bad world. A book naturally lends itself to an examination of this psyche, and thus has enough draw to hold its reader’s attention. Alas, Fall Again, Rise Again misses this simple storytelling trick.
