Some of you may have noticed over last week that our home page looks a little different. Our initial layout was put together by the good folks at the design collective FOLO when they crafted our entire visual identity.

Our initial layout was put together by the good folks at the design collective FOLO when they crafted our entire visual identity. (They wrote about it here, check it out if you're at all interested at a peek into the design process.) The brief was to be clean yet striking, and we achieved both. But there's always room for improvement; as feedback trickled in from readers, well-wishers and critics over the past six months, we rethought a few basic aspects of how we presented ourselves. We sat down to rework and refine, rather than radically redesign, The Morning Context's face. We've made a handful of changes, all of which add up to a cleaner, easier experience for a new reader hitting the website. Here are the big ones: The headlines are a little more restrained in size, which we hope helps with readability, and the lead story at the top now has more …
